3 months old!

Sully on the left and Ev on the right. I think they are pretty darn cute.
It's hard to believe but my sweet boys are already 3 months old! They are growing and changing every day. At about 6 weeks old we thought Everett was our Mr. Chill, boy were we wrong! From 6 weeks on Sully has proven to be our most relaxed child. He only really gets upset when he is hungry or has a dirty diaper, a wet diaper doesn't bother him at all. Sometimes he'll wake up soaked in the morning. Sully sleeps from 9 or 10pm until 5 or 5:30am and has been doing this for almost 2 weeks, it's amazing. He really loves his crib, he started taking his morning and afternoon nap in his crib this week. It's so cute to watch him snuggle in and raise his arms over his head. Sullivan loves to snuggle and loves his play gym time. He and Sofia have a very special relationship, he will track her movements around the room and when she faces him or talks to him or kisses him he responds with a huge, heart melting smile. Sullivan is a very determined little guy, when I hold him he coos and smiles a ton but then almost always moves his legs so he can practice standing. He is so strong! Sullivan also loves his bath time. He has never complained to get out, I let him stay in until the water starts to get cold. He loves to kick, splash and look at the bathroom toys on the tub.

Everett is an interesting little guy. He is a pretty easy going guy most of the day except for some afternoons and evenings. There are times when he is fussy with a clean diaper, freshly bathed and fed. I always try to nurse him and that helps him sometimes but not always. I think he really is just a very curious guy and sometimes ends up over tired and fights his body telling him to rest. I can't tell you when he sleeps because he is so irregular. Some nights he goes from 10-2 and then 3-5. He is very tough to get back to bed when he wakes up. He is the most amazing little guy in the morning. When he opens his eyes and looks at me he has the biggest smile I've ever seen and then he coos and giggles. This may sound vain but I swear the way he looks at me he's telling me, "I love you so much Mama, you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen". Again, that may sound silly but it's what exudes from him. Everett LOVES his swing. Motion is one of the only things that will help him get back to sleep when he's crabby and tired. The swing and glider work well for him. Everett is also very in tune with Sofia but she doesn't quite have the magic touch to calm him down when he's upset. Everett likes bath time and kicks and splashes but after about 10 minutes he has usually had enough. When we take our afternoon walks Everett usually rides in the Ergo on my chest, he loves to peak around at his surroundings.

The boys are more and more aware of each other and their sister. She regularly naps from 11-1 and the boys and I spend that block of time playing on the floor with different fine motor and gross motor activities. Right now they love to be on the floor next to each other with me above them. They both just smile and coo and wiggle around. They are both becoming less tolerant of tummy time.
Finally, I have to share one of the cutest stories I have from this week. My parents were nice enough to give us a 4 month membership to the local YMCA as an early Christmas present so I started our membership this week. Wednesday night was our first night to try it out as a family. Tim and I decided to drop the boys off in "Kid Watch" so we could have one on one time swimming with Sofia. The only childcare setting the boys have ever been in is MOPS and Sofia stays in the room with them. When we tried to leave the Kid Watch area Sofia ran over to her brothers and started babbling a mile a minute with a very concerned look on her face. She grabbed their stroller and actually cried when we picked her up to leave. Sofia ended up LOVING the Y. We knew she loved swimming but our YMCA has a walk in style kids area of the pool. When we brought her in she kept running around the water splashing and screaming at the top of her lungs with a big smile on her face, she only stopped screaming to breathe. She had a ton of fun and slept very well that night. Sofia is such a sweet big sister. It's amazing to see the relationships developing between our kids. It may be a ton of work to have 3 kids so close in age but I think it's really going to pay off. Sofia genuinely loves her brothers and doesn't seem to get sick of them. We kept waiting for a negative reaction from her after they were born but it never really happened. After she wakes up and gives Tim and I hugs and kisses she runs around the house looking for her brothers and promptly kisses them both. Here are some more pictures we took during the 3 month photo shoot.
