My kids and I are out and about a lot during the week. I have always been a person who is more productive and happy when I stay busy and get involved in different projects/groups. During the winter out outings involve a lot of trips to the YMCA, Target, the library in Port Washington and Cedarburg, and to visit Tim at the office. I never fail to receive a lot of comments about my crew. Most people give me encouragement and offer to hold a door or help me in some way, some people look at me like I'm crazy. A lot of people ask me how I look so rested and how I can be smiling. I'm always amazed when people say that, even though my situation takes a lot of hard work, it also pays off in ways people can't imagine. I never in my wildest dreams expected that I would have twins, let alone three kids under the age of 2. But you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. After my junior year semester in Spain Tim came to visit me and we traveled around Europe together for two months (on less than $2000- but that's for another post). We spent a lot of timing talking about our goals and dreams and a big family was always part of the picture. But we will both admit, we had no idea it would be this sweet. Yes, we are incredibly busy and our arms are full most of the day, but our hearts are busting at the seams. The boys are growing up so fast and it is incredible to watch the relationship develop between them. I have several videos of them having tummy time together and just chatting in their baby talk. At night they actually seem to complain until they are both in their bedroom together. It's hard for anyone to understand unless you have had twins yourself, raising two individuals who were born at the same time and spent 9 months snuggling is an incredible journey. I'm so thankful for Tim allowing me the opportunity to stay home with them, every day I cherish moments of babies giggling, snuggling, smelling their sweet heads, and giving me kisses. I'm also thankful for the encouragement of other moms, people in the community and my family. I love the camaraderie among mothers, I try to avoid the ones who just want to compare and compete. Here are some recent pictures of the boys... their big 6 month post is coming up in a few days!
