My baby is 2!

Time flies when you're having fun. This past weekend was spent celebrating my sweet girl, Sofia Lorraine. She has turned into quite an amazing little girl. Sofia and Sully spent time hanging out with Tim on Friday while Everett and I ran errands for the party. Sofia's party was great, the highlight for her was definitely the balloons. She wasn't all that interested in her presents because one of the first things she opened was her gift from Uncle Andy. He gave her tons of art supplies, including her favorite...GLITTER! I officially have a girly girl on my hands and I love it.

Official Stats: 35.75 inches tall (91st percentile) and 29.2 lbs (78th percentile) You are long and lean like I was growing up. Chances are good that you'll be taller than your Dad and I.

At 2 years old you continue to be more and more fun. Here is a LONG list of all of the random fun things about you.....
-You love arts and crafts, your favorite arts and crafts right now are definitely play doh, painting, glue and glitter, and of course coloring.
-You love to dance and love music. If I don't have music playing you hit the buttons on your brothers' exersaucers so you can have something to dance to.
-You memorize songs very quickly, if I teach you a new one you sing it back to me all day long.
-Your vocabulary grows daily, you are putting together some sentences that have five words! Granted, they are memorized phrases but you do put other sentences together as well.
-You are very polite and like to use please and thank you.
-You love playing dress up with your magnetic dolls, I love seeing the outfits you choose for the girls.
-You still love to read, especially on the toilet! You are really getting the hang of things with using the potty.
-When you read by yourself you say some comprehensible things about the pictures but you talk for a long time about what's on each page. Your vocabulary is just exploding lately.
-You are such a great big sister, you do everything I do with your brothers. When I feed them lunch and dinner you sit next to me and help me or you feed your baby doll. You even carry your baby around in a mini Ergo baby carrier.
-You are definitely a girly girl, but you also love sports, you got a basketball hoop for your birthday and you love playing basketball. You insisted on sleeping with your basketball the other night.
-You love swimming and are getting closer and closer to jumping in the water on your own. Lately you love it when I throw rings in the pool and you have to go and find them.
-Whenever I am getting on the freeway you look at the other cars that are ahead of us and say "I'm going to get you car!" or "I'm going to get you truck". You tend to talk about almost everything we are doing while we do it.
-This week you expanded your counting up to five!
-You know quite a few colors, you tell me what color everything is when we go for walks outside.
-You love jewelry, brushing your hair, and you are always doing cute little poses when you smile. It's adorable and your Dad and I love it!
-You know some of the letters in your name.
-You sing all day long, during your nap time you sing about Mama, Fro Fro, Dada, baby etc with a lot of jibberish and actual words in between.
-You pat the ground next to you when you want me to sit by you.
-You are very motherly over Frodo, Everett and Sullivan.
-You love to take your Baby Doll for walks up and down the sidewalk.
-I'm not a big fan of television but occasionally I let you watch Sesame Street, you LOVE Elmo and Cookie Monster.

I could go on and on but I've been working on this post for days and I need to actually publish it. The truth is I could write a novel about you and the two plus years you have been in our lives and it wouldn't be enough. We love you so much, this year has been such and adventure and you have taken everything so well. I'm so grateful that God chose to put you in our lives. You are such a smart, kind, and adventurous little lady with a big heart. Watching you grow up is bittersweet. I love seeing you learn and grow but ever since you were a day old I've been saying, "Ok, this is my favorite stage". The point is that every day with you is great, yes, we have challenging days but I am so lucky to be your Mama. Your Dad and I will be with you every step of the way to guide you in the adventures to come. We love you, Sofia!!
